Bringing the feel of cool breezes, summer love, and easy days spoke of this May wedding held at the City of Lights. Sitting at home today and looking through recent photos of the summer… I couldn’t help but just grin when I think about the adventures I share with my children | I was told recently that I was very child-like, I could have taken this as a slight but instead I embraced it saying YES I am… its in those child-like moments that I can really be myself and enjoy the right here and right now.

I am soooo thankful that my boys continue to want to share their time with me and that our adventures are only just beginning……

One of my all time favorite items at any wedding or party for that matter is the {CAKE}, standing there on display for everyone to see – it is always or should always be a show-stopper / guests seek out this little treat not only because its yummy but also because it has always been art inside an otherwise blank space. For the longest time cakes were the one item that really took center-stage / now that wedding and event design has taken off, Cake designers have had to step up their game and come up with new and amazing works to WOW all the guests.

Spring brought us Erin & Chase, a couple full of personality; our backdrop was Palisades Country Club which on its its own is stunning but when you add a little {LOVE} it becomes a place pure celebration. Every detail gave-way to the starts of the night which were of course this gorgeous Serendipity couple!

Xtreme Lashes – Xtreme Fun – Xtremely Sassy!

I recently went to the Bloom Lash Boutique where the lovely Amber applied this super fun semi-permanent lash extension that has really impressed me. A new way to add something exciting to your wedding or just a fun weekend – why not have a afternoon of eyelash pampering instead of a nail-bar or spa – you are adding an element of sass and drama to your big day while having a Xtreme time with your girlfriends!

I have had mine for a week now and all I get is compliments and coments on how great they look – I don’t often promote products but I am in LOVE with this one and will be sporting these babies all summer for sure - I’m telling everyone about it because its just plain fun and anyone who knows me – will say that I’m all about having fun and trying new things.

With so many details and design ideas, its hard to really find ‘you” … the best place to start is thinking about what you and your honey really love – are you a foodie? are you a music lover – these are just a few of the questions to think about as your planning the details of your day.

Often I like to watch and listen to my couples talk and play – in those moments I find out who they are and all the fun little details that only the two of them would know – its like a Emril moment – BAM / we have a design theme and direction… from there its just making it fun. With our without a wedding designer you want to make sure your day really represents who you are as a couple and who you are as individuals…. its all about you!
